Living Harmoniously

It’s something of an accomplishment that home electronics have managed to dominate our lives without the slightest effort to enhance them. Maybe you could say home appliances make some nod to domesticity, but barely - and they generally define the space they’re in in all but the most extravagantly priced kitchens and laundry rooms.

So given the conditions I’d have thought that during my 2 decade tenure at Bang & Olufsen I’d have the pleasure of regularly relieving my clients of this aesthetic tension. WRONG! Certainly Bang & Olufsen, like many rarified luxury brands, had their devotees, but so many folks that came through the door saw the unique designs as a distraction, or worse: a trick!

Clearly a half a century of conditioning people to brook the most abhorrent metal and plastic boxes among their otherwise carefully considered rooms left them feeling like they had so little choice that when the option of a beautiful speaker or a friendly toaster oven presented itself that it was obviously somehow unfit for purpose - otherwise why has everything looked so awful for so long if it didn’t have to!?

Well I can’t say what changed, but in recent years products have started to make strides toward aesthetic beauty that I never thought I’d see. The Samsung Frame TV, little voice assistant microphones in all colors and finishes, and dozens of other lifestyle devices now seek to earn their space on our gallery walls and our end tables with our other carefully curated baubles.

We’re now finally arriving in an era with no compromise!

As I’ve put together the portfolio of brands and products that I’m offering I’ve considered how well these devices would integrate into our homes as one of my top priorities. The stable now features networking, video, audio, and smart-home accessories that don’t compromise on performance or reliability, but also sit comfortably next to any architectural feature or item of home decor you have.

So if you find yourself in a bind and need something to “fit” where nothing seems to, drop me a line and let’s chat. -Matt
